Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the A&S Alhambra Spray Foam Insulation website and any insulation work you ask us to quote or do. When you use this site, call us, send our form or book a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.
Your written estimate or job agreement may set out terms for that specific job. If it says something different from this page, the written estimate or agreement controls for that job.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Alhambra, CA, and we work in the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, spray foam, blown-in insulation, insulation removal, air sealing and vapor barriers for homes and commercial buildings. What's on this site is general information, written to help you understand the job. It isn't a quote, an inspection of your house or advice for your specific situation. Every job starts with a look at your property.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, so it covers the work and materials it describes and nothing beyond them.
Attics and crawl spaces sometimes hide problems that only show up once the work starts, such as soaked or contaminated insulation, droppings, damaged framing or wiring that needs attention. If we find something like that, we stop, show it to you and explain what it means for the job and the price. We won't do extra work or add charges until you approve them.
An estimate stays open for the period written on it. After that, prices for materials and labor may change, and we'll update the estimate before any work starts.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We set a start date with you once you accept an estimate. Weather, material deliveries and conditions found on site can move a schedule, and when that happens we'll let you know as early as we can and agree on a new date with you.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the areas we're working in, including the attic hatch, crawl space opening and a place to park and run hoses. Please move belongings out of the work area or tell us about anything fragile before we arrive.
Some products, spray foam in particular, need everyone in the house to stay out for a set time after the work, which we call re-entry time. We'll tell you before the job how long that is for your job, and you agree to follow those instructions for the people and pets in your house.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please call us at (626) 525-0036 as soon as you know. Any charges for materials we've already ordered or work we've already done will be listed in your estimate or agreement. Any cancellation rights the law gives you still apply.
Payment
Payment amounts, due dates and accepted payment methods are set out in your written estimate or job agreement. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment isn't made when it's due, we may pause further work until it's settled, and we may use the remedies the law allows to collect what's owed.
Our guarantee and product warranties
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us, and we'll come back, look at it with you and make it right where the problem comes from our work.
Insulation, foam and barrier products carry their own warranties from the companies that make them. We pass along any maker's warranty that comes with the product, and claims under it are handled under that maker's terms.
Apart from our satisfaction guarantee and any warranty written into your agreement, we don't make other promises about our work or this website, to the extent the law allows. We can't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a specific indoor temperature, because those depend on things outside our work, like your windows, ducts, equipment and how the house is used.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind the work we do. To the extent the law allows, A&S Alhambra Spray Foam Insulation isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your home, lost income or damage caused by conditions that existed before we arrived and weren't part of the job.
To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Using this website
The text, photos and design on this site belong to A&S Alhambra Spray Foam Insulation or are used with permission. You're welcome to read and share pages for personal use, but please don't copy them for commercial use without asking us first.
We try to keep the site accurate and up to date, but it may sometimes have errors or be unavailable. If the site links to other websites, we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.
Working out a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, please tell us first. Most problems get sorted out quickly with a phone call and a visit, and that's the way we'd rather handle them.
If we can't settle it between us, either of us may take the matter to the courts in Los Angeles County, California, including small claims court where the amount fits.
Which law applies
These terms, and any work we do, are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a job you've already agreed to in writing, which stays under the terms in place when you signed.
